🔒 Privacy policy

Short version: we don't want your data. Mplampla has no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms that ask who you are.

What we store

• When you press 😂 or 🚩 we save a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address, so each person counts once. We can't turn it back into your IP.
• Your browser remembers which posts you've already 😂'd (local storage on your device, never sent anywhere).
• Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and to stop abuse. They're deleted automatically.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads from Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choice

Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first. Until you press Accept all, Google Analytics runs cookieless and ads are not personalised. You can change your choice any time via Cookie settings.

Pictures from other websites

Images and videos are shown straight from the site where they were posted (Lemmy, Mastodon, Bluesky, xkcd and so on), so your browser loads them from there, and those sites can see a normal web request.
